'The Flash' Season 2 Episode 2 Spoilers and Pilot Recap: What New Dangers Will Team Flash Face?

On the next episode of "The Flash" entitled "Flash of two Worlds," the official synopsis reads, "Jay Garrick, a mysterious man from Earth-2, appears at S.T.A.R. Labs with a dire warning about an evil speedster named Zoom, who is out to destroy the Flash. Barry and the team must decide if they can trust him, even as they face yet another powerful meta-human. Meanwhile, Joe deals with a determined officer named Patty Spivot, who wants to join his meta-human task force."

In the promo for the episode, it seems that Barry will have trouble battling another meta-human who has been dubbed the Sand Demon another villain sent by Zoom to kill Barry. It would seem that Jay Garrick is trying to help Barry and he even reveals that he was also called The Flash in his world.

The pilot episode began with a dream where The Flash battled Captain Cold and Heatwave at the same time when Firestorm showed up to help. They got back to S.T.A.R. Labs where everyone on team Flash congratulated him on job well done.

Reality set in and Barry was standing in the middle of S.T.A.R. Labs all alone. It has been six months since the city was saved and Barry had been working alone since he had pushed all of his friends away. Cisco had been working at the police station by creating technology that would help the police battle meta-humans. Caitlyn had been working at Mercury Labs.

Iris persuaded Barry to attend the city's event for The Flash. It flashes back to six months ago when the wormhole was opened. Firestorm helped Barry close the wormhole by splitting in the eye, but unfortunately, only Martin Stien made it back as Ronnie died. Barry had been fixing up the shops that were destroyed late at night.

At The Flash day event, everyone was there including Caitlyn. Barry showed up as The Flash, but the event was disrupted by the arrival of a meta-human named The Atom Smasher. Barry was defeated by the villain. The team gathered at S.T.A.R. Labs and they discovered that he consumes radiation. Later on, Barry went off by himself as he confronted the villain. He escaped with the help of the team and a flashback of a young Barry was shown. Barry woke up and Joe told him that he cannot do things on his own.

The team got back together and Barry went to see Caitlyn. They watched the video that Harrison Wells left behind and it turned out to be a confession to Nora Allen's murder. Barry's father got released from prison only to tell his son that he was leaving the city. The episode ended with the sudden arrival of Jay Garrick.

"The Flash" airs every Tuesday.
