'The Flash' Season 2 Spoilers: Will Barry Get His Powers Back In Episode 20? Series Star Drops Teasers

The CW's hit superhero drama TV series, "The Flash" Season 2, is back this week with a brand new episode that will get to find out if Barry Allen will finally have his speed back after losing it to Zoom. Meanwhile, series star drops some details about this new character that the show is about to introduce.

According to The Futon Critic's synopsis for "Rupture," Barry (Grant Gustin) and Harry (Tom Cavanagh) will work on a very dangerous experiment that could help them destroy Zoom once and for all.

The promo video for the segment indicates that it would involve recreating another particle accelerator explosion, which in the first place gave Barry his power. Henry will protest against the plan as his son's life is on the line. The first time, Barry got lucky but they can't be sure of what's about to happen the second time around. Fortunately there's Joe who will try to appease the biological father. But will this create a rift between the two men as they are clearly opposed on what's good for their son?

As if that situation won't be enough to occupy the minds of everyone in STAR Labs, they will get wind of the news about the arrival of an Earth-2 villain, Rupture. The latter happens to be the doppelganger of Cisco's (Carlos Valdes) brother, Dante (Nicholas Gonzalez). As revealed by TFC, Rupture is coming over to town to seek justice for the death of Cisco's Earth-2 counterpart, Reverb.

In an interview, Valdes told Entertainment Weekly that Rupture's presence will be a shock to Cisco. He will be conflicted on whether or not to tell his Earth-1 brother about his twin from another Earth.

"Cisco has his own protective hero moment, keeping secrets from the ones he loves. He has to basically make that decision for himself and decide what is best for saving the relationship between he and his brother," he told EW.

"The Flash" Season 2 airs Tuesdays, at 8 pm ET on The CW.
