'The Fosters' Season 3 News: Premiere Date Announced by ABC Family
Fans of "The Fosters", the hit family drama TV series from ABC Family, can now start counting the days as the network recently announced the return date of the show's current season.
Citing the details over at TV Guide, it is indicated that the Peter Paige and Bradley Bredeweg drama will return to the small screen with its brand new episodes on Monday, January 18, at 8 p.m. ET. This time around, the channel will no longer be called "ABC Family" but will be known as "Freeform." The show will also be bringing along the reported new series titled "Recovery Road," which is based on the young adult novel written by Blake Nelson of the same name.
There's a lot to be expected for the upcoming installment of the Teri Polo and Sherri Saum-fronted series. For one, there's the development on Callie's (Maia Mitchell) case which gives Stef (Polo) and Lena (Saum) the permission to adopt her as their own daughter.
However, there's a catch. If the family decides to pursue the adoption, Callie and Brandon (David Lambert) can no longer be together as lovers as they are now officially siblings.
Connor (Gavin Macintosh) will also be facing the life of living together with his mom while he struggles to keep the flame ablaze between him and Jude. Fans will soon find out if the two are able to survive the long-distance relationship setup or will they finally call it quits?
Saum, meanwhile, spoke about actor Noah Centineo, who replaced Jake T. Austin's character, Jesus. The actress admitted in an interview that it's hard for Centineo's part to place himself in someone else's role. Adding to the pressure is the "haters and people who might not be ready to see a different face."
But through it all, Centineo was able to carry out the challenge.
"He's just lovely!" Saum told Variety. "And he is just divine. I love this kid, he's great."
Stay tuned for more updates.
