'The Goldbergs' Season 2 Premiere Live Stream, ABC Start Time, Spoilers: 1980s Show Trying to Increase Viewers in New Season

ABC's popular sitcom "The Goldbergs" is now set to air the premiere episode of its second season on Sept. 24, 2014, Wednesday at its time slot 8:30/7:30 c. Sandwiched between the network's hit shows "The Middle" and "Modern Family," the family comedy aims to get more viewership for its second season.

"Hopefully we have an audience that's more in that mood and hopefully more and more people will come to the show this year," show creator Adam F. Goldberg told TVGuide.

The second season will once again feature the acts of Wendi McLendon-Covey as Beverly Goldberg, Jeff Garlin as Murray Goldberg, Sean Giambrone as Adam Goldberg, Troy Gentile as Barry, Hayley Orrantia as Erica, just to name a few.

"The Goldbergs" season premiere is entitled "Love is A Mixtape."

"Adam takes the next step in his blossoming relationship with Dana by creating a mix tape for her, but the tape falls into Beverly's hands instead. Elsewhere, Barry gets caught with a fake ID," the synopsis reads.

More spoilers suggest fans will see Bev and Murray renewing their vows in lieu with the Diana-Charles royal nuptials. This will be featured in the coming Oct. 8 airing of the episode "The Facts of Bleeping Life."

"Their actual wedding was on the cheap because Murray paid for it himself so Beverly didn't get her dream wedding," Goldberg teased. "Now, this is her chance to do it big."

The show's second chapter will also see more of the tributes for John Hughes and the "Back to the Future" film.

Moreover, the characters will now form their own band, "a Twisted Sister knock-off band."

"I just love that whole thing because my brother and I actually did stuff like that," the executive producer said.
