'The Good Wife' Season 6 News: Episode 8 Recap, Episode 9 Plot Revealed

Last Sunday's episode of "The Good Wife" sees Alicia take on a new case as she faces off against Louis Canning (Michael J. Fox) again.

Johnny and Eli start conducting focus groups for Alicia's campaign when they accidentally overhear a woman named Sally say that Alicia seems entitled and selfish, and this remark bothers Alicia.

Meanwhile, Alicia's brother Owen stops by to ask for her help. After she apologizes to him for prying into his personal life, he says that he's there to ask help for one of his students named Jodi Milam. Jodi was raped and wants to get her rapist, Troy Anthony, expelled. Alicia goes to the student disciplinary hearing but finds out that she is not allowed to speak in behalf of Jodi. She convinces the girl to file a law suit against the school for not allowing her due process.

In court, Louis Canning plays up his disabled lawyer routine by showing up in a wheelchair and an oxygen mask. He convinces the court to proceed quickly with the case because he's having kidney transplant surgery the following week.

Later, Canning gets the school to settle, and when they perform a search on Troy's room, they find marijuana and the school expel him. Alicia wants to continue with a class action, but Jodi declines and says that she just wants her life to go back to normal. Later, Alicia asks Canning about his operation, and he reveals that they have not found a kidney for him yet.

To prove that Sally's opinion about her being entitled is completely wrong, Alicia goes to a soup kitchen to volunteer and someone takes a picture of her washing a clean pot while wearing a suit and talking on her phone. Eli tells her that she has to be more careful next time as everything she does is open to public scrutiny.

Here is the synopsis for next week's episode of "The Good Wife":

"Alicia faces a crisis of conscience when she is encouraged to be negative in her campaign for State's Attorney. Meanwhile, the Feds try to persuade Cary to work with them as they attempt to build a case against Bishop," the summary reads.

"The Good Wife" airs Sundays at 9 p.m. on CBS.
