'The Good Wife' Season 7 Spoilers, Plot News: Show Creators Dishes Details Ahead of Premiere Showing

As if an entire six seasons of gripping drama weren't enough, CBS' hit legal and political drama TV series, "The Good Wife," is now ready to bring more drama when it returns tonight for its Season 7.

A new update from Entertainment Weekly recently cited show creators Robert and Michelle King talking about what's in store for the coming season.

The first thing they pointed out is the reported storyline that will focus on Alicia's drinking problem, which actress Julianna Margulies teased during an earlier interview.

As said by the cast member, the character really has some issues with the bottle, given the fact that "she's lonely," and that the wine is the only thing that keeps her "numb" on what's happening around her for a "little bit."

Mr. King clarified to EW that indeed, Alicia's alcoholism will be tackled on Season 7. He acknowledges that the lawyer is already showing symptoms of "wine addiction" which fans may see as something "comic and fun" at first.

The character seems to convince herself that she's really not into the substance; that it's all but a ritual to unwind after a hard day's work and that it's nothing serious. Little does she realize she's already drawn fully into it.

However, Michelle chimed in that the issue won't really see Alicia going into a 12-step recovery program as there will be something even bigger coming up ahead.

According to Robert, Season 7 would largely revolve around Alicia "remaking the family."

"A lot of it is [about] how do you then remake this kind of family-like relationship that is a combination of work and home?" he told EW.

In separate interview, this time with TVGuide (via LatinPost.com), the Kings teased that fans will see Alicia being "truly on her own" this season. While past seasons saw her getting some help, this time around, she will get to experience what it feels to be like a newbie lawyer in a bond court.

Catch the premiere of "The Good Wife" Season 7 tonight, Oct. 4, at 9 p.m. on CBS.
