'The Last Man On Earth' Season 2 News, Spoilers: Carol's Lies Get Too Deep

What started out as a small lie will put Carol in a very awkward situation when the second season of Fox's hit post-apocalyptic comedy series "The Last Man On Earth" continues this week.

Titled "Dead Man Walking," spoiler reports for the episode said that more laughter and surprises are coming this season ever since Phil and Carol have reunited with the group at Tucson.

But the situation, which started back in episode 2 wherein the group shifted to a new base in Malibu without Phil, may have forced Carol to do this one thing: lie to them that Phil is dead.

For those who missed it, Phil managed to catch up with Carol after they got separated back in the pilot episode. They immediately went to find the pack. But Phil discovered a note, which was obviously intended for Carol, revealing that they don't want Phil to be with them.

The promo video finds the crew, including Erica, Gail, Melissa and the others, gathering around a mysterious character named Gordon, played by actor Will Ferrell. With the intention of spicing things up a bit, Carol jumped in the midst and shouted "Boo." Gordon gets shocked and immediately succumbed to a heart attack.

"It may be the end for Gordon, but the reunion is just started," a voice-over in the teaser was heard.

Scenes then cut to show Phil talking to Carol saying, "You told them I was dead?" Hilarity followed showing Carol wearing a black dress, apparently the one worn when grieving, and crying hysterically at the beach. The entire gang looks at her and are somewhat sympathetic with her.

Speaking further about what to expect in Season 2, show creator Will Forte told Entertainment Weekly (via IBT) that the reunion will tackle what has been going on in their lives ever since they got separated six months ago.

"You'll learn a little bit at a time how things have changed with the relationships. We're really excited about it," Forte teased.

"The Last Man On Earth" Season 2 airs Sundays on Fox.
