'The Last Ship' Season 2 News, Spoilers: Chandler Gets Ready To Distribute the Cure In "A More Perfect Union"

In the upcoming episode of TNT's hit post-apocalyptic drama TV series "The Last Ship," Captain Chandler (Eric Dane) and the Nathan James crew are now getting ready to distribute the cure for the virus that almost wiped out the entire world, as well as deliver the message that the country's leader had previously recorded.

Spoiler reports from ThreeIfBySpace.net said that the remaining citizens must hear President Michener's message so that they will know that they have been duped. It remains to be seen how the people's sentiments will change but one thing's for sure though, the re-indoctrination will certainly lead to more violence and bloodshed.

Speaking of violence and bloodshed, the synopsis posted over at TV Guide said that the Navy will be broadcasting a call to all the civilians to get ready for the dissemination of the antidote. The vessel and its bold crew will be meeting them at pre-selected ports.

However, the Immune factions won't be giving Nathan James the convenience of doing so. It is indicated that the faction will "actively fight the spread of the cure" no matter what it may cost them. Fans may already know that Chandler's main objective is to put a stop to Ramsey's evil plans, while the other party wants to ensure that the remaining inhabitants of Earth will be infected with the virus.

Citing an earlier report from Variety.com, it is indicated that Episode 13, "A More Perfect Union," will close in "a gripping cliffhanger" to give way for the tales of the bravery of USS Nathan James and its crew to continue for the next season. Earlier in August, TNT announced that it has renewed the show for Season 3 which will once again be consisting of 13 action-packed brand new episodes.

"The last Ship" Season 2 concludes this Sunday, September 6 on TNT.
