HBO's newest TV series "The Leftovers" season 1 Episode 6 entitled "Guest" was aired last Sunday, Aug. 3, 2014. It shed light on a character named Nora who was coping with the disappearance of her husband and children.
In "Guest," Nora (played by Carrie Coon) was found mourning for the loss of her family even after three years have passed. Her only surviving relative is Reverend Matt (played by Christopher Eccleston), a character featured in "Two Boats and a Helicopter."
The episode also centered on how Nora cope up with her life after the Departure. She was shown going on with her daily life as if everything is normal.
The character was seen going to the court to process her divorce when she met with police chief Kevin Garvey and invited him to go with her to Miami to escape their present problems. The police officer declined.
The latest "The Leftovers" episode also follows Nora attending a conference in New York for the Second Annual DROP (Departure Related Occupations and Practices) as an employee working under the Department of Sudden Departure (DSD).
There she met a guy who replicates a body of the Departed on the spot. She also learned the identity of the woman who stole her entrance ID to the conference.
During a discussion with an author, a man introduced himself. He told her that he could help Nora deal with her emotional pain. She followed him to his apartment and was revealed that he was actually Holy Wayne (played by Patterson Joseph).
The episode culminated with the character asking a relative of a Departured if she believes that her loved one's are now in a better place. The woman replied no. This leaves the question to the viewers about what really happened and what is really the cause of "The Sudden Departure."
Fans of the show can expect another story that will focus on Nora in "Penguin One, Us Zero."
Below is the trailer for "The Leftovers" Episode 7 entitled "Solace for Tired Feet" which will be aired on August 8, 2014.
