'The Originals' News, Update: Episode 1 Synopsis Revealed; A New Vampire Joins the Fray
The synopsis for the most awaited kicker episode for The CW's hit supernatural drama TV series "The Originals" has arrived and it teased a darker, more conflict-ridden Season 3.
Titled "For the Next Millenium," the report from International Business Times said that Freya Mikaelson (Riley Voelkel) will find a way to make her family whole again by first patching up the damaged relationship between her brothers Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Elijah (Daniel Gillies).
Fans may remember the extent of the damage that Dahlia (Claudia Black) had caused to the siblings.

Despite Freya's noble intentions, the task of tying Klaus and Elijah back together won't be an easy one as the parties involved may seem to be negative about it.
Elijah, on his part, will still be weighing in if he should or should not forgive Klaus for killing Gia (Nishi Munshi). There is also the matter of Klaus placing the Crescent Curse on Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) and her pack. The latter issue of which, will feature Hayley dealing with the effects of the curse as well as dealing with the heartache of being separated from her baby daughter Hope.
The Season 3 opener is also up for some surprise when the new vampire named Lucien (Andrew Lees) arrived, bringing along with him "a mysterious agenda involving the remaining vampire sirelines" of the Mikaelsons.
Lucien is just but one of the intriguing new characters in this season. During the recently-held San Diego Comic Con International event, TVLine reported the coming of Van, who is described as a male witch who was forced to get his hands in the New Orleans' supernatural politics when a loved one is murdered; and Tristan, who has a "long and complicated history with the Mikaelsons."
Elsewhere, the new detective Kinney (Jason Dohring) will get some information from Vince (Yusuf Gatewood) and Cami (Leah Pipes) which will lead him to believe that there is a serial killer running around town.
"The Originals" Season 3 premieres Thursday, Oct. 8 on The CW.
