The Player Episode 2 Spoilers, Plot Rumors and Episode Recap; A Deadly Game

The next episode of "The Player" is entitled "Ante Up" and the official synopsis explains that Alex will be ordered to stop a diamond heist, but he encounters an old colleague who is seeking information. Mr. Johnson and Cassandra step in and threaten to call off the bets. Later, Alex attends Ginny's funeral and discovers details surrounding her murder.

The promo for the episode shows some interesting action scenes. Alex has to stop a sniper before the sniper kills again. Cassandra tells people to bet on whether or not Alex will succeed. Alex confronts Mr. Johnson after his wife's funeral.

The pilot episode began with Alex Kane who is a security consultant. He finds faults in other people's security and he fixes them for a price. He can only be afforded by the rich and famous. He saved a wealthy Arabic man from getting murdered.

He just wanted to spend time with his ex-wife. They have not signed the papers and they still slept together. One night a man broke into their house and tried to kill Alex but when the man failed he killed Ginny instead. Alex tried to go after the man and his prints got on the gun.

Alex got blamed for his wife's death and busted out of the handcuffs. He was met by a woman named Cassandra who helped him get away. Cassandra drove and the police stopped giving chase.

Cassandra told Alex that she worked for an organization that predicts crime. The organization found out about the planned kidnapping of a teenage girl named Shada Raquib the daughter of the Arab man that Alex saved before.

The death of Alex's wife was all a part of the kidnapping. The kidnappers were supposed to take Shada's mother and they had to test the security of the family. The organization wanted Alex to stop the kidnapping. The organization had a betting scheme on who would win the perpetrator or the good guy.

Alex was able to stop the murder but not the kidnapping. He joined the organization in order to get more information about his wife's death. Mr. Johnson swapped out his wife's body for someone else's. Alex saved the girl and he took on his new job.
