'The Vampire Diaries' Season 6 Cast News, Spoilers: Will Damon Give Elena the Cure for Her Vampirism?

Nina Dobrev's announced exit from the hit supernatural TV drama series "The Vampire Diaries" will be catered as the 6th season of the show marches towards its end. According to spoiler reports, Damon's (Ian Somerhalder) decision will affect Elena's (Dobrev) departure from Mystic Falls in the episode titled "Because."

A report from IB Times indicated that thanks to Bonnie (Kat Graham), Damon was able to get his hands on the cure for Elena's vampirism. Throughout the previous episodes, Elena has been showing signs that she had already missed the life of a normal person. Although she doesn't speak of it concretely, Damon knows that she's yearning for her humanity to return.

Whether or not Damon will give to the pre-med student the potion, it appears that his decision will greatly affect how Elena will sashay her way out of town. The situation is quite not easy for him: if he does give the cure, then he'll be setting her off; and if he doesn't, she will eventually find out that he's hiding the only ticket to her normal life and this would cause a rift between them. Of course, Elena will be leaving town bearing a grudge towards Damon.

"We're building towards the outcome of Damon's decision [whether or not to give Elena the cure] and the massive fallout this decision will have on Elena, as well as on everyone else," executive producer Caroline Dries told TV Line.

Meanwhile, a synopsis for the upcoming segment also indicates that Enzo (Michael Malarkey) will seek out the answers to the questions about his past and what he'll discover will surely surprise him. Elsewhere, the whole of Mystic Falls will be bracing themselves as the attempt to stop a humanity-free Caroline (Candice Accola) doesn't go as planned.
