'The Vampire Diaries' Season 6 Spoilers: What to Expect in Episode 'The Day I Tried to Live'

It's been a long time since fans of the hit supernatural TV drama series "The Vampire Diaries" heard about Bonnie (Kat Graham), who was last seen trapped inside Kai's (Chris Wood) hell. Spoiler reports now suggest that the next episode for the show's sixth season will put some spotlight on the young witch as her friends in Mystic falls will get "an unsettling" message from her.

Synopsis for the segment titled "The Day I Tried to Live" indicated that Elena (Nina Dobrev) and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) will convince Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) to commemorate Bonnie's natal day.

But the group gets a disturbing message from the birthday girl after they were able to get in touch with her.

"Please tell everyone that I'm sorry," said Bonnie in her message, which in turn prompted her friends to embark in a rescue mission.

Earlier reports from TVLine pointed out that the gang will succeed in their operation and that the banished will get through with the tough situation.

"Bonnie, who's one of the strongest women on our show, will prove that she's not going to be down in the dumps," exec producer Caroline Dries told the publication. "She tries to make the best of things, and it will help shape her into the character she's going to become starting in the 2015 episodes, where she's going to harden a little bit."

A full summary of this week's episode was posted on The Futon Critic and it reads:

"Determined to celebrate Bonnie's (Kat Graham) birthday, Elena (Nina Dobrev) convinces Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) that it's what Bonnie would have wanted. After piecing the broken ascendant back together, Elena, Jeremy and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) attempt to send Bonnie a message, but the situation turns dire when they make an unsettling discovery."

"Meanwhile, after uncovering Stefan's (Paul Wesley) secret about his great-niece Sarah Salvatore (guest star Tristan Mays), Enzo (Michael Malarkey) enlists a reluctant Matt (Zach Roerig) to help interfere with her life. Elsewhere, Stefan keeps a close eye on Caroline (Candice Accola) as she unconventionally attempts to cope with everything going on around her. Lastly, realizing it might be time to move on with his life, Jeremy contemplates leaving Mystic Falls for good."

"The Vampire Diaries" airs every Thursdays at 8 p.m. on The CW.
