'The Vampire Diaries' Season 7 Episode 11 Spoilers: Stefan Aids Damon; Matt, Bonnie Deal With The Fallout

The CW's hit supernatural drama TV series "The Vampire Diaries" Season 7 returns this week with a brand new episode that will see the Salvatores standing by for each other after the tragic experience with the Phoenix stone. Meanwhile, the heroes of Mystic Falls deal with the fallout of an attack.

According to the synopsis shared over at The Futon Critic for the episode, which happens to be directed by series star Paul Wesley, titled "Things We Lost In The Fire," Stefan (Wesley) will be there to stand by Damon's (Ian Somerhalder) side as the latter suffers the traumatic effects of the Phoenix stone. There's no other person who can help Damon get a grip on things except Stefan who also happens to have his own experience with the mythical stone.

In other developments, Matt (Zach Roerig) and Bonnie (Kat Graham) will deal with the damages that Julian (guest star Todd Lasance) caused when he and his minions attacked Mystic Falls. Matt, on his part, will have some explaining to do with Officer Penny (guest star Ana Nogueira) whom he had trouble with when he went out of control.

Meanwhile, Tyler (guest star Michael Trevino) will surprise everyone by arriving in town for Alaric's (Matt Davis) baby shower. Caroline (Candice King), on her part, will hear some "upsetting" news about Alaric and his plans for the babies.

In related news, executive producer Caroline Dries offers an update on the Bonnie and Damon relationship.

In an interview, the showrunner told TVGuide that Bamon 'shippers might be disappointed to know that the two will encounter some problems. Nonethless, Dries clarified, the two characters will still remain friends.

"Bonnie will continue to be a loyal friend to Damon and a very supportive person for him to lean on as he goes to through the drama of the second half of the season. But their relationship will also face its own obstacles down the road," she told the media outlet.

"The Vampire Diaries" Season 7 Episode 11 airs this Friday, Feb. 5 at 8 p.m. on The CW.
