Walking Dead Season 5 Spoilers, Plot News: Norman Reedus Spills Big Hint for New Season

Season 5 of "The Walking Dead" will see a premiere coming this Oct. 12 and will see Rick Grimes and his people having an unsavory encounter with the survivors of Terminus. Producers have only promised fans that some pretty crazy plot points are in store for them but other than that, details are scarce – until a few days ago.

Norman Reedus, who plays fan-favorite Daryl in the series, uploaded on his Twitter feed a sequence of photos which could hint at what might happen in Season 5. Reedus can be seen in one of the photos with makeup effects artist and producer Greg Nicotero, depicting some sort of false proposal sequence.

"Nicotero n I just got hitched," one of the tweets said.

"I said yes," Reedus tweeted a few hours later.

"Divorced," the last of the tweets said later into the hour.

All the photos of the tweets had shown Reedus' hands in some sort of gore effects and this could possibly a hint. To understand the hint, one must go back to the comic series. Rick Grimes, in his initial encounter with The Governor, resulted in him having one of his hands chopped off.

Seeing as things went differently with the television series, another character might suffer the fate of Rick in the comics – most likely judging from the tweets, Daryl could suffer an amputation. Still, this could just be Reedus playing around with his fans as the picture in the last tweet features a ringed finger.

This could mean that Rick will still suffer the loss of a hand, following the comic. Still, it would be more interesting to see Daryl re-learn surviving the apocalypse with one hand than Rick suffering another trauma.

Apparently, the Terminus people are looking for a cure to the zombie infection and are resorting to experimenting with survivors unfortunate enough to encounter them. The trailer has already shown what Season 5 is looking to be, as the cast and crew have described as "brutal," "messy," "explosive" and "thrilling."
