'The Walking Dead' Season 5 Spoilers, News: Father Gabriel Stokes to Lead Rick Grimes' Pack to Perdition?

Episode two of "The Walking Dead" Season 5, entitled "Strangers," introduces the fans to a certain Father Gabriel Stokes (Seth Gilliam) whom the group encountered on the woods where he has been attacked by a group of Walkers.

The survivors, led by Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln), then find themselves sheltered inside the minister's church building. Rick, as well as some of the others, suspects that there's more underneath Father Stokes clerical collar.

They wondered how and why he is the only one to survive in his locality. A guy who vomits at the sight of the zombies, who doesn't even have a gun to protect himself with – this solidifies Rick's doubts that he's hiding something.

TWD fans have been boggled as well as to the real identity of Gilliam's character. Turns out, he could have connections with Terminus' Gareth (Andrew J. West).

There are theories stating that Fr. Gabriel is actually luring Rick's pack to his church so that Gareth can pick them off one by one.

"It's an interesting theory. It goes back to the resourcefulness of the character," West said in an interview with THR.

"He's probably thought of most, if not all, the angles to negotiate the situation that he now has with Rick. They're in a bit of a grapple with one another, and it's a bit of a cat-and-mouse game. Gareth has considered many avenues, and that's what's going to be exciting about the show: to see what Gareth — and Rick — ultimately decide is the best way to contend with this issue that they both have with one another," he added.

"Gareth thinks things through; he's very diligent and calculated about the best way to go about approaching something," the "Greek" Star went on to say. "So whatever he thinks is going to help achieve that goal, that's what he's going to do."

"The Walking Dead" Season 5, Episode 3, entitled "Four Walls and A Roof" will air this coming Sunday, Oct. 26, at 9 p.m. on AMC.
