According to Cinema Blend, he stated, "Some of the scariest people in the back half of the season are our people. These characters are at their strongest right now, but the problem is, the threats of the world are also at their strongest. We'll see these immovable objects meet."

He also hinted that the season will soon face a heartbreaking death, which is evident to those who have read the comic books. Because of that, fans are speculating that fan favorite character Glenn, played by Steven Yeun, will soon be killed off. The books showed that his character died because of Negan.
