According Cinema Blend, Hiddleston will be leaving the Marvel Universe "to pursue something bigger for himself."

"The part is the biggest that Hiddleston has landed since he was first tapped as Loki, and while we don't want to count our chickens before they hatch, there is some pretty obvious franchise potential to be mined here. As much fun as the actor has playing Loki, I don't think many of us would be surprised if he decided to move on and pursue something bigger for himself," the website reported.

His latest calling pertains to his involvement to the upcoming King Kong prequel, "Skull Island," which as reported are projected to become a lengthy film franchise.

Speculations now sparked around the web as to how Hiddleston will exit Thor. Theories cited by Movie Pilot suggested that Thor will rip off Loki's head. This was actually based off the "Ragnarok" comic saga, which incidentally, has been reported to be where "Thor 3" will be about.

Meanwhile, "Thor 3" hasn't been given any release date yet. Although, the latest and upcoming offering of the MCU, "Avengers: Age of Ultron," is now slated to arrive in theaters on May 1, 2015.
