Several formerly trans-identifying individuals have accused medical professionals of subjecting them to body-disfiguring drugs and surgeries during a time in their lives when they struggled with gender dysphoria and various mental health issues.

People who once identified as trans are often referred to as “detransitioners,” and many of these individuals have publicly shared their stories of regret over their youthful decision to take hormonal drugs or undergo surgeries in an attempt to look like the opposite sex.
