Todd Palin Divorce Rumors Swirl as McGinniss Accuses Sarah Palin of Intimidation

In an interview with the CNN, Joe McGinniss, author of Sarah Palin’s controversial biography, “The Rogue: Searching for the Real Sarah Palin,” has said the Palins “scare and “threaten” people.

McGinniss told CNN, “The Palins scare people. The Palins intimidate, they threaten. People in Wasilla are very scared of the Palins, and this goes back to her time as mayor.”

The author added: “They fear retribution. There are people who wouldn’t even meet me socially because if Sarah found out, anything could happen.”

The author rented a house next door to the Palins in Alaska to gather information on his book. McGinniss spoke of the moment where Todd Palin came over and threatened him saying, “Let’s just see how long you stay there.”

He told the CNN, “He greeted me with a threat. That’s the Palin way - threatening,”

"The Palins have intimidated so many people for so long in the Wasilla (Alaska) area that it's very hard to find people willing to talk about them," claimed McGinniss.

Todd Palin has accused the author as "full of disgusting lies, innuendo and smears."

He said, "This is a man who has been relentlessly stalking my family ... to harass us and spy on us to satisfy his creepy obsession with my wife."

McGinniss said “Sarah Palin has lived an outrageous life, and all I did was talk to people about it. When I was comfortable with the veracity of what I heard, I put it into the book.”

The claims in the book, released Sept 20, has outraged the Palins. Rumors have emerged that Todd is so “fed up” over his wife’s scandals since her rise to fame that he is contemplating a divorce, according to the Daily Mail.

The Mail has reported a source close to the Palins said, “Sarah Palin has been destroyed by Joe McGinniss' no-holds-barred biography. It exposed all her lies, cover-ups and secrets.”

The source added: “As a result she has been told by her advisers that it would be political suicide to announce a White House candidacy. The press and her opponents would have a field day digging into the dirty details of her background,” according to the Daily Mail.

Sarah Palin has not commented publicly on the book so far.
