'Tom Clancy's The Division' News: More Console Players Can Now Take Part in Update 1.8 PTS
Console players who participated in the Update 1.7 PTS should be able to join the new round of testing
A major update for "Tom Clancy's The Division" is in testing right now, and more console players can get involved.
Announced just recently by the developers over on Twitter, invites for the Update 1.8 PTS (Public Test Server) are now going out to selected console players.
It is unclear just how many of these invitations have been distributed, so players will just have to check their inboxes to see if they can participate in the latest round of testing.

Furthermore, developers also revealed that the players who were involved in the Update 1.7 PTS will also be allowed to join the testing again.
The lucky console players who were chosen for the PTS will be able to check out many of the important features included in Update 1.8.
Among the update's new features is the PvE map expansion known as the West Side Piers. Players who make it to this area will find that the enemy factions are now working together. There are also side missions available in this location that "The Division" players can take on.
Another new addition included in Update 1.8 also emphasizes the fact that the enemy factions are now open to teaming up. The new Resistance game mode will feature members of those enemy factions trying to take down the players, and they will spawn dynamically in waves, according to a recent post on the game's official website. There are also Critical Objectives players will need to complete in this game mode.
One more significant addition featured in the aforementioned update is the Skirmish game mode. Players will be divided into two teams of four in this mode and there are also three arenas available for hosting matches.
Following its stint in the PTS, Update 1.8 is expected to be released for the live version of "Tom Clancy's The Division."
