Tottenham vs Liverpool for Premier League 2016: Can Spurs Remain Unbeaten? Prediction, Team Strategies, Kickoff and Live Stream

Tottenham and Liverpool Present Strategies to Beat Each Other

Tottenham Hotspur will take on Liverpool this weekend in a bid to strengthen its position in the Premier League. Spur needs to defeat the Reds to put a closure in their winless tussle. Liverpool eased 19 goals in seven dates against Tottenham in the Premier League.

Why is this game important for both team?

The Reds need to get back on track after a defeat against Burnley. Last week's match saw the squad having the most ball possession but failed to convert in goals. Burnley took advantage and efficiently scored though limited at 20 percent with the ball.

On the flip of the coin, Hotspur finished last week by stamping four points from the last two games. However, a win against Liverpool will drive away doubts of their capacity to carry the squad to the endgame. This game might also have a chance to replicate the 2009-2010 Premier League where they finished with four straights.

The Tottenham strategy

Manager Mauricio Pochettino admits that it is now hard to tone down Liverpool's thirst. A team coming from a defeat is either demoralized or bent to avenge by taking on the next opponent. Pochettino said that he sees the latter case with Liverpool being a tough squad.

Tottenham will focus on dictating the tempo with ball possession. They will manage it until the opposition's half then sink a goal when opportunity knocks. Pochettino adds that their biggest asset is patience in this particular game.

The Liverpool strategy

Jurgen Klopp's hopes lies in Daniel Sturridge. Klopp said that Sturridge can play wide during early minutes but has to zero in for the goal in tight situations. The Red manager added that Sturridge proved versatility in handling the wings and inside the box.

Sturridge will hide from plain view this Sunday and take the ball when necessary. He will also capitalize on Klopp's confidence to prove himself as a player who can play multi-positions.

Prediction, schedule, kickoff and where to watch

The Sunday's match, August 27 will kickoff at 7:30 a.m. Eastern Time. SkySports 1 HD will provide TV coverage for the match.

Now for the prediction about this game, there is a huge possibility of a draw. Last season ended with 1-1 because both were being efficient in offense and more importantly, defense. This Sunday, the two can land in the same situation or even a scoreless match. Another addition strengthening this analysis are the low-goal results of both team in the opener.
