'Toy Story 4' release date news, plot spoilers: Going to be a toy 'love' story.

For the fans of Pixar's successful franchise "Toy Story," the last film "Toy Story 3" was the perfect conclusion to the trilogy, as well as the most profitable, grossing $1 billion worlwide. However, it seems that it wasn't the end after all, since Pixar has announced that "Toy Story 4" is currently being developed.

Following this news was the worry of many fans about how the storyline of the upcoming movie will continue, in connection to the previous ending. According to Screenrant, Jim Morris, Pixar's general manager, previously referred to the fourth installments as a "love story" and "romantic comedy." Later on, Pixar chief creative officer John Lasseter spoke about more details in the recent D23 Expo. He confirmed as to which characters will specifically be involved, saying "It's a love story with Woody and — and this is news — Bo Peep." This means that this could entirely be a start of a different trilogy and does not necessarily have to show some sort of timeline continuation to the previous ones.

In the last film, Bo Beep was not part of the story, as it was implied she had been sold to another owner. Speculations are that the plot for the upcoming installment would be about how Bo Beep and Woody will rekindle their love once they are reunited. Rashida Jones and Will McCormack are apparently in charge of the screenplay, and are rumored to be incorporating some elements from the script of the indie-movie "Celeste and Jesse Forever," which the duo had also written. It may explore the changes to Bo Beep and Woody's relationship caused by the time that they have been separated for so long. Of course, such an idea would take some time to incorporate into an animation film generally made to appeal to families and kids.

The animation studio is on a mission to release an original film annually and has successfully done so with the recent hit film "Inside Out," a story about a young girl dealing with depression. "The Good Dinosaur" is also set to show this year, and many seem excited over it already. Aside from Toy Story 4, other sequels Pixar has lined up include "Finding Dory" and "The Incredibles 2."

Toy Story 4 is scheduled to open in theatres in June 16, 2017.
