Tracy Morgan Speaks Out for First Time Since Accident, Thanks Fans for Support and Love

Tracy Morgan has been released from the hospital after being in a serious accident last month. The actor-comedian has spoken out for the first time since the accident happened and reassured the press that he was feeling strong.

"I'm OK, I feel strong," he told NY Daily News. "Love you, thank you very much. Appreciate it."

Morgan, James McNair, Ardie Fuqua, Harris Stanton, and Jeff Millea were all injured in the wreck. A tractor-trailer driven by Wal-Mart worker Kevin Roper slammed into the limousine, hitting it so hard that it wound up on its side. McNair was killed, Moran hospitalized with cracked ribs and a severely broken leg, and Fuqua is still hospitalized in critical condition.

The "30 Rock" star was airlifted from the crash site in New Jersey to Robert Wood Johnson Hospital, where he spent two weeks recovering before being taken to a rehab facility, where he has been for the past three weeks. His fiancé and infant daughter, as well as a home health aide, accompanied Morgan on his way home from the rehab facility.

Morgan previously announced that he is suing Wal-Mart because he feels the company should have kept better records and paid more attention to its driver. Roper admitted that he had not slept in the 24 hours before the crash. Wal-Mart has agreed to cooperate with the investigation and take care of any expenses Roper's negligence caused.

After the accident, fans immediately rallied around Morgan, offering their prayers and support for the man who played a loveable yet goofy character on "30 Rock" and starred on "Saturday Night Live" for several seasons. His fiancé never left his side throughout his hospitalization.

"He asked me to pass along his sincerest gratitude to everyone who has helped him get to this point," spokesman Lewis Kay said in a statement. "He would also appreciate some privacy during this crucial point in his recovery."
