A Kansas judge has ordered an anti-abortion activist to stand trial in the death of late-term abortion provider George Tiller, who was fatally shot during a church service earlier this year.

Sedgwick County Judge Warren Wilbert scheduled the trial of 51-year-old Scott Roeder for Sept. 21 – nearly four months after Tiller was shot at point blank as the May 31 Sunday service began at Reformation Lutheran Church in Wichita.

Though a number of witnesses have identified Roeder as the shooter, Roeder has pleaded not guilty and remains jailed on a $20 bond.

He is currently at Sedgwick County jail, charged with first-degree murder and aggravated assault.
