True Blood Season 6 Spoilers: 'Who Are You, Really?'

HBO's hit vampire drama "True Blood" is set to return for it's sixth season on Sunday June 16 at 9 p.m. The first episode of the new season is called "Who Are You, Really?" which seems to hint at the shows usual trend of mystery and unclear identities.

The end of season 5 left main character Sookie (Anna Paquin) with an uncertain love life. In past seasons the female lead has had relationships with both Bill (Stephen Moyer) and Eric (Alexander Skarsgard). And at the end of season five, it seemed as if there was potential for a relationship between her and Alcide (Joe Manganiello).

However, new actor hires seem to point the show and Sookie in another direction. British actor Rob Kazinsky has been hired as a "True Blood" regular, according to TVLine. Kazinsky will play Ben, a fairy who becomes enamored with Sookie as they search for answers in the murder of her parents.

The HBO drama has also added Rutger Hauer, known for his work in the movie "Blade Runner," to play the role of Macklyn. Macklyn is another character who will be involved with Sookie's plot lines. With so many new male characters involved with Sookie, it seems fair to assume a new relationship is on the horizon.

However, Sookie isn't the only character fans of the show are curious about. With season five shake-ups in the vampire community, many are wondering about the fate of Bill and Eric.

Series creator and former showrunner Alan Ball gave TVLine some insight on what season six holds for the two vampires.

"Remains to be seen. They've both been heroes in their own way. Eric was kind of like a mischievous cad, but I don't think he was ever, like, a true villain the way that Russell was or the way that Maryann was. And he's done a lot of really heroic things himself. So I never really looked at Eric as the bad guy and Bill as the good guy – at least not since the very early seasons. But it remains to be seen what will go down with both of them," Ball said to TVLine.
