Turing Phone Release Date, Specs News: Casing is Stronger Than Steel

For smartphone enthusiasts and owners who are looking for a durable and stylish-looking device, the Turing Phone could be the answer. However, you may want to reserve or pre-order from their website to make sure you get one when the device comes out.

According to a report by Phone Arena, the Turing Phone by Turing Robotic Industries is now available for reservation or pre-order through a website.

However, neither the consumers who signed for the reservation nor the company is bound by any contract upon pre-order. This means the consumer can just walk away in case Turing Robotic Industries is not able to produce the smartphone, and the company has no obligation either to the customer to deliver the phone.

Announced back in April, the Turing Phone will be encased in a casing that is stronger than steel. This is due to the liquid metal finish that the manufacturer plans to do.

In addition, the Turing Phone will also boast a unique feature of recognizing other Turing Phones in the area and getting into a secured and "protected communications network" that cannot be penetrated by any third party.

As far as specs are concerned, the Turing Phone gets some decent ones, particularly a Snapdragon 801 chipset, 3GB of RAM, a 2.5GHz quad-core CPU, and a 5.5-inch display with Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution.

Other features include a 13MP primary camera, 8MP front shooter, Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box, 3000mAh of battery, and an IP X8 water certification. The phone is priced at $610 for the 16GB model, $740 for the 64GB edition, and $870 for the 128GB model.

The Turing Phone comes in three color options: Beowulf, Pharoah, and Cardinal.
