Turtle Rock Studios' Evolve DLC News, Release Date: Coop Monster Hunting FPS Game Giving Away Free DLCs

Evolve, the anticipated multiplayer monster hunting FPS game from Turtle Rock Studios, has been announced that its downloadable maps will be given away free of charge.

Quoting the report from IGN, the game and tech site said that creative director Phil Robb himself, was the one to break the news. He said that Turtle Rock will continue to support the new game with loads of new monsters and hunters. The maps, which, as mentioned, will arrive as free content.

"One of the things we've been really careful about is that for our DLC plans, we've approached it as consumers, what [Design Director Chris Ashton] and I feel good about as consumers," Robb said.

"The first thing we said is we can't break the community up. All of our maps will be free, we never want anyone to get booted off a server because they haven't bought something. That sucks," he added.

Gamespo stated that even if players won't avail the new monsters and hunters content, gamers will still be able to play against them. Robb even went to say, as reported, that if gamers will make pre-orders, they'll get the first monster DLC for free.

Evolve was initially scheduled for launch this year, but was postponed for a Feb. 10, 2015 unveiling on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

Turtle Rock Studios recently finished a closed alpha test on Evolve in three gaming platforms. The PS4 test did, however, suffered a minor trouble but was promptly amended, according to IGN.
