Although the entertainer has held strong to his Christian faith throughout the years, it seems those beliefs were strengthened when his mother's health began to improve.

"I've never had a doubt in my heart that God was real...... But it can ONLY be the power of the lord Jesus Christ that pulled her through........," he said. "They took the tubes out, took her off of the the breathing machines and today for the first time in 8 days me and my mother TALKED..... Her first words were 'Hi Son'.... My mother without saying will be my date to the GRAMMYs - to God be ALL the glory...."

In multiple Instagram posts, Gibson took the opportunity to glorify God in front of over 5 million followers. When his mother first woke up on Saturday, the entertainer spoke about the power of God and music healing his mother.

"Glory to God.....My mother just woke up........ Your prayers and energy and the POWER of God - got my mother UP..... The power of REAL MUSIC....," he wrote. "For the last 3 days I've been playing all of my mother's favorite oldies but goodies and the musical sound waves healed - I just wanted to send you the best news......."

Gibson's mother's health scare has given him a new perspective and the entertainer chose not to focus on the fact that his song "Shame" received Grammy nominations.

"I'm just here focusing on what's important praying over my mother who's fighting for her life..... All of a sudden when a tragedy on this level strikes you don't spend your energy on anything else but what matters the most........," he wrote. "In the end it's not about awards it's about finishing what you started.... And making the best USE of God's gifts."

With all of the accolades and opportunities he has received, Gibson called his mother's miraculous healing one of the best moments of his life.

"I know a LOT of people have been as worried as me and our family........ So very grateful..... My mother is going to see another year... And her sons birthday Dec 30th," Gibson wrote. "This is literally the best moment of my life."

The singer has learned from his mother's health scare, and realized that God was trying to get his attention during the tough ordeal.

"I've been running around everyday hustling and never making time and God shook me to the core with this and slowed me ALL the way down...... Sometimes you have to stand still, think, process, analyze and internalize repeat.....," he said. "Father God I hear you..... I hear you LOUD and clear..... #Amen."
