UFC 194 News: Jose Aldo's Coach Rips UFC Analyst Joe Rogan For Saying Aldo's Body 'Looked Different'

The head coach of former UFC featherweight champion responded to the recent comments of analyst Joe Rogan.

During the Monday episode of the Joe Rogan Experience podcast, the former "Fear Factor" host, along with retired UFC heavyweight Brendan Schaub, made comments about Aldo's physique. According to Rogan, it all stemmed from a leaked audio recording of him during the actual fight that was obtained from the UFC's production truck. Multiple reports claim that in the said audio clip, Rogan described Aldo's body as "soft" and "deflated", and that he "looked nervous" prior to the start of the fight.

During the podcast, Rogan again went on to speak about Aldo at UFC 194. This time, he said it could be justified by the fact that the Brazilian fight could have done more cardio, hence his current physique. Rogan also shared a story of how a representative of a governing body tried to test Aldo in the middle of training camp, but instead, the fighter's coaches and staff called the police on this said person to get him kicked out of the country.

"Then when they finally did give them a urine sample, he tripped and spilled his piss. That's insane," Rogan said, in continuation of his story. "I've never tripped and spilled piss in my entire career."

It did not take long before Rogan's comments to reach Aldo's camp at Team Nova União in Brazil. In a report by MMA Fighting, Aldo's coach Andre Pederneiras issued an indirect response. Without naming names, he criticized the said comments, referring to the person who said them as a "clown".

"To the clown that thinks Aldo was on something and isn't anymore, draw your own conclusions," Pederneiras responded through Twitter.

The said social media post also featured a collage of four different photos of Aldo in four different UFC fights, seemingly aiming to point out that there was no major change in his body.

For his part, Rogan issued an apology on social media to Aldo and his coach for the comments he made, saying, "My apologies for being wrong to Aldo and his trainer Andre Pederneiras. I have nothing but admiration and respect for both of them."
