An unidentified flying object has allegedly been spotted by a passenger flying on a commercial airline. However, claims that the object was a UFO has many others saying the video is just a hoax.

The 52-second clip was uploaded on the video sharing website YouTube on April 7. The video begins with the gray circular UFO appearing on the bottom right of the video screen.

The passenger who filmed the alleged UFO seems to be taping from the plane's window when suddenly the grayish color object comes into view.

For a few moments the objects appears to be flying away from the path of the airplane and is easily distinguishable from the buildings on the ground.

However, the moment the passenger who is videotaping the incident begins to zoom in on the object it suddenly disappears from view.

The video was uploaded by YouTube user "Crazybreakingnews" and posted this comment of the video.

"I don't know, but it looks a little bit strange and not really similar to the other videos. If it's really real and not a fake, it looks like a kind of military drone."

Some of the commenters on the video are skeptical stating that they believe the object is a military drone while others just think that the video is totally fake.

"When stabilized, it is easy to see what is going on with the video. The edges of the UFO are not blurred like all of the other background objects, it seems like a separate effect from the background," one commenter states.

The commenter added: "The fact you can see edge noise on the shape of the UFO indicating it's a fake. It doesn't even look right if you start to look at it hard, especially slowed down frame by frame."
