Underground Club Offers Drug and Alcohol-Free Alternative

The Underground Club in Cincinnati, Ohio, is just one of many alternatives to the common drug-filled and alcohol-centered hangouts Christian ministries and churches are providing to the youth.

It opened in early summer and has been welcoming teenagers and young adults every Friday and Saturday to its entertainment/hangout spot. When it celebrated its grand opening, the club was not fully completed. Now, the club is equipped with pool tables, a coffee expresso bar, computer stations hooked up to the internet, and televisions.

The highlight of the club is a concert stage where the club has been hosting its FALL BRAWL, a line-up of concert dates featuring popular Contemporary Christian artists. In August, artists like Jeremy Camp, a 2004 Gospel Music Association winner; Bleach, Supertones, and Superchic performed to club crowds. On Oct. 22, popular rock band Pillar will perform.
