Usain Bolt Olympic 2012 Event Schedule: Race Time and Dates for London 2012

The fastest man in the world, Usain Bolt, is set to ignite the Olympic Games later this week. The Jamaican sprinter will take to the track for the first time in London 2012 later this wee. All the dates and times of his race schedule can be found below.

Bolt is competing in three events during the summer Games; the 100 meter dash, the 200 meter, as well as the 4x100 meter relay. Amazingly in all of these events Bolt is the defending Olympic champion, as well as world record holder.

For the 4x100 meter relay event Jamaica and Bolt will be hot favorites. However, nothing can be taken for granted in the relay and many top teams have failed in the past when the the pressure overcame them.

Jamaica have arguably the strongest 4x100 meter relay line up of any team in Olympic history, and millions across the globe are anxiously waiting to see them in action.

Bolt will have to be in top form to ensure he takes the 100 meter dash and the 200 meter event this year, and he has fallen short in recent competition against his Jamaican sprinting rivals.

His fiercest rivals and biggest competition at this year's sprinting events will likely be Yohan Blake and Asafa Powell.

Round 1: 7:30 a.m. ET

Day 9: Sunday August 5, 100
100 Meter Dash
Semifinals: 2:45 p.m. ET
Final: 4:50 p.m. ET

200 METER
Day 11: Tuesday, August 7
200 Meter
Round 1: 6:50 a.m. ET

Day 12: Wednesday, August 8
200 Meter
Semifinals: 3:10 p.m. ET

Day 13: Thursday, August 8
200 Meter
Final: 3:55 p.m. ET

4x100 METER RELAY
Day 14: Friday, August 9
4x100 Meter Relay
Round 1: 2:45 p.m. ET
