Usher and Mom Reveal Truth About Tameka and Child Custody Case to Oprah (VIDEO)

Usher Raymond recently opened up about his personal life in a rare interview with Oprah Winfrey, and the intimate discussion is set to air on "Oprah's Next Chapter" on Sept. 16.

Usher, who finally agreed to do the candid interview after being asked repeatedly for several years, is expected to discuss his love life, music career, and the infamous child custody battle involving his ex-wife Tameka Foster, 41.

"[Usher] talked about everything. He said that he's gonna talk to me and then he's never gonna talk again," Oprah said.

"[He talked about] his marriage; the fact that his mother didn't come to the marriage; the fact that he's now gone through three years of a custody battle; now has primary custody of his own children; about breaking down on the stage in Berlin; what really made him cry on the witness stand; he talks about everything," she went on to explain.

The interview comes two months after the 7-time Grammy award-winning singer lost his 11-year-old stepson to a jet skiing accident less than one month after he was awarded primary custody of his and Foster's children.

Usher, who was understandably devastated over the loss of Foster's biological son, Kile Glover, was embroiled in a 3-year child custody battle against the professional stylist. She accused the singer of being a bad father to their two sons Usher V, 4, and Naviyd Ely, 3.

Foster also accused Usher, who was reduced to tears at one point during the trial, of using drugs in front of the boys and on December 4, 2011 she demanded that the 33-year-old take a drug test. Her argument was that the children were in jeopardy while in his care.

Usher countered that Foster, who almost lost her life while attempting to undergo cosmetic surgery in 2009, was inattentive and irresponsible with the children. The nasty battle sparked widespread interest and finally ended in August when Usher was awarded primary custody.

"Were you faithful to [Tameka]"? Oprah asked Usher during one segment. His mother, Jonetta Patton, also joins the discussion at one point and Oprah asked her "Do you wish you had made another choice and had gone to that wedding?"

The media mogul asks a series of personal questions and the highly anticipated answers will air on Sunday night's episode of "Oprah's Next Chapter" on the OWN network.
