Following Johnny Depp's 14-year relationship with Vanessa Paradis, the French model has proven she is better off alone.

Paradis, 39, hit the red carpet solo in Paris Monday looking stunning and smiling. Her casual look consisted of jeans, a black blazer, and a gold necklace as she premiered her new movie, "Je Me Suis Fait Tous Petit."

The film, which in English translates into "I Made Myself Very Small," follows a man whose wife leaves him. Paradis portrays a beautiful woman who helps give the man a new reason to live, according to The Sun.

Alternately, Depp has also apparently moved on from the lengthy relationship. The "Pirates of the Carribbean" star is rumored to be romantically involved with his "The Rum Diaries" co-star Amber Heard. Neither actor has confirmed the rumors, but Depp did buy his reported girlfriend a horse.

Confirmation of the couple's split officially arrived last month with a statement from Depp's publicist.

"Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis have amicably separated," said the statement. "Please respect their privacy and, more importantly, the privacy of their children."

They began their relationship in June 1998 in Paris, and lived together for many years in Plan-de-la-Tour in southern France before relocating to Los Angeles.

In L.A. though, the couple drifted apart, reported People magazine.

She and Depp, 49, share two children together; Lily Rose, 13, and Jack, 10.

Although they never married, Depp will allegedly hand over $150 million- half of his estimated $300 million net worth- in split settlement to Paradis.

Depp, who most recently starred in Tim Burton's "Dark Shadows" remake, had often commented on his happiness with Paradis while they were together. He said that being with the actress "has given me everything. A marvelous family and also an equilibrium which I missed enormously."
