'Vikings' Season 3 Release Date, Spoilers: New Teaser Trailer Revealed - 'For This You Must Be Patient'

There are only two months until the third season of the hit historical drama TV series "Vikings" will return on the History Channel. A new promo video released by the network. Here's what we learned so far.

The footage was largely narrated by the blind old Seer (John Cavanagh). He mentioned about "stones and bones," and seeing "life, splitting, joining, and struggling." At the end he warned: "And for this you must be patient." Could it be Ragnar (Travis Fimmel), who is now the King of Denmark (by the end of Season 2) that he's been talking to?

Also implied in the short teaser a "brotherly bonding" between his former detractor and brother Rollo (Clive Standen). Rollo was found, in the later part of the season, striking the vow of loyal servitude to his brother. Will it change when Season 3 arrives?

There's also an indication that the "Vikings" will be facing a new, "unexpected" opponent in next year's showing. Speculations from fans pointed out the zealous right hand of the king, Floki (Gustag Skarsgard). His "unsettled" character was shown in the previous chapter questioning Ragnar's authority and dominion over his tribesmen.

In the clip, he is seen picking up and looking longingly at a bloodied crown. Could he be the one (among the others) to challenge Ragnar?

The women on the show are also emphasized in the clip. First, there's Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick) aiding Ragnar on his overseas raids. Spoilers indicate that her rule will be challenged by a new character named Kalf (to be played by Ben Robson).

The video also hinted that the royal couple could be expecting some turmoil in their relationship.

As for the plotline, it has already been reported that "Vikings" Season 3 will delve on the invasion of Paris.

"Yeah, we're gonna attack Paris," show creator Michael Hirst spoke with Collider earlier this year. "Paris was the most extraordinary city. It was still a Roman city, and it was like nothing else on earth. We're just building that, at the moment, on the backlot."

"Vikings" Season 3 will kick off its premiere episode sometime in February 2015.
