Wayward Pines Season 2 - The Finale Spoilers? Theo Makes a Decision on Humanity's Fate; Not Everyone Makes It Out Alive
The Abbies are coming to Wayward Pines and decisions have to be made.
"Wayward Pines" Season 2 is coming to a close but viewers still do not have a clue of what will happen to its citizens. In the episode before the finale, it was made clear that going back to sleep is not an option for everyone. It is also possible that not everyone will be coming out alive.
What Happened on Episode 9
Evacuation of the humans has started. Theo and Xander set aside their differences in order to save the humans from Jason. Theo will have to make a quick decision that will seal the fate of humanity. David Pilcher made Jason the leader of the humans. Jason has decided that the only way to escape is for the humans to be put to sleep. However, just only 571 of the cryogenic pods are working which means that just over half of the humans can escape that way until the Abbie threat has passed. Meanwhile, as the Abbies are nearing town, Margaret struggled with her wounds.

What to Expect on Episode 10
The "Wayward Pines" Season 2 finale is entitled "Bedtime Story". A very short synopsis of the episode was released and it can be seen that Fox is keeping a tight lid on the details for Episode 10.
"As the Abbies descend upon the town, Theo is forced to make a decision that could seal humanity's fate."
The accompanying promo trailer for the season finale, however, is a little more telling on what kind of decisions the characters need to make. They seem to have the choice of either making their escape now or being put to sleep until they are free from the Abbies. They can also take a different escape plan altogether. The only thing that seems to be certain is that not all of the citizens will be making it out alive.
The trailer seems to imply that some of the humans may choose to re-enter suspension. There was a stampede for them to get to safety. Kerry is seen wearing the suspension suit which Theo pleaded her not to do.
A lot of things will certainly unfold in "Wayward Pines" Season 2 finale. It will air on July 27 at Fox.
