What makes this game very interesting to watch is that both teams are very invested in playing pressure defence on their opponents – which is expected on this game.

They have reached the bracket thanks to stifling their opponents on the defensive end and this could very easily result in turnovers on both sides, making this game possibly one of the messiest games.

However, this is not a knock against both teams as they thrive on getting loose balls and playing grinding basketball.

If anything, this can make up a great game where the team who can stand up the most against their opponents will get that win and move to the next round.

The Mountaineers have been impressive in their form lately as they have only lost once in their last six games – an 81-71 defeat to Kansas. In that run they beat teams like Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, Baylor, TCU and Oklahoma to finish second in the Big 12 with a 26-8 record.

More impressive are SF Austin as the Lumberjacks topped the Southland division with a 27-5 record and went on to the tournament with an impressive win streak.

They beat Houston Baptist by a large margin on two separate occasions, thrashed Incarnate Word, Northwestern St. and Sam Houston St. in impressive away games before finishing it off with even more dominant performances against TAMU Corpus Christi.
