Southern California offers many beach destinations for students who want to have some fun in the sun. On the other hand, many of Lake Tahoe's ski resorts are still open for visitors who are looking for more extreme activities like snowboarding and skiing, and some ski resort events like the Winterwondergrass music festival at Squaw Valley or the Heavenly's Unbuckle Apres Party.

Adventurers who are into hiking can go visit San Jose during the spring break season and try out the 6-mile trails to the famous Mission Peak that's overlooking the infamous Silicon Valley. San Jose is also home to the historic and haunted mansion known as the Winchester Mystery House.

Whether it's a trip within the state of California or outside of it, students are advised to be mindful of their safety and to always stay alert. It also helps to be well-informed about the places that they are planning to visit by doing their research ahead of their trip.
