Where Is God?

Come near to God and he will come near to you. James 4:8

Have you ever looked up to see the stars so high in the sky? God created each one–even the stars billions of light-years away! Isn't that amazing? You could never live long enough to visit just one of those faraway stars, but God can! In fact, God is there right now, just as He is here with you.

The Bible teaches that God is omnipresent. "Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence?" (Psalm 139:7). He is there and here and everywhere else all at once! God is caring for hungry people in a distant country. He's also guiding presidents, and God is taking care of you.

Nothing is too big or too small for God to pay attention to. You may think you're not very important, but to God you are. He's been with you every second of your life! He's always been there loving you just as He is loving you now.

The next time you look at the stars, think about how God is omnipresent. You can be in only one place at a time, but God is everywhere, all the time! The more you realize that God is omnipresent, the more you'll want to worship Him.
