Whitney Port Confirms Engagement; Talks 'Hills' Reunion

Former MTV star Whitney Port is engaged to her partner of one year Tim Rosenman.

The reality TV star-turned-fashion designer, 29, began dating Rosenman, who worked as an associate producer on her spinoff series "The City," in 2012. She confirmed the engagement news via her rep on Thursday, according to People magazine.

"She is super comfortable with him and in love," a source previously told Us magazine. "She likes that he is from New York because he is such a great tour guide when they visit the city."

The year 2013 has been bittersweet for Port, who rose to stardom in 2006 after making her debut on "The Hills" as Lauren Conrad's colleague.

In March, the former "The City" star was left devastated following the death of her father, Jeffrey. He reportedly battled kidney cancer in the months leading up to his passing.

"Obviously times are hard, but I'm the kind of person who is going to rise above it," she said in June.

The engagement news comes just two weeks after Conrad, 27, announced her engagement to law student William Tell.

"I am very excited to share with you guys that William and I got engaged over the weekend. I am beyond thrilled! Get ready for lots more wedding content here on LaurenConrad.com as we begin the planning process," Conrad wrote via her personal blog.

Fellow MTV star Kristin Cavallari recently also announced some good news. The former "The Hills" villain, 26, is expecting her second child with NFL star Jay Cutler.

"We are so excited for Camden to be a big brother!" Cavallari tweeted in October referring to the couple's first child.

For years fans of "The Hills" have been hoping for a reunion amongst cast members, but Port suggested that this is unlikely to happen because everyone has moved on. The show ended in 2010.

"I think we all kind of went our separate ways once the show ended," Port said. "I'm fine with it, like I'm at peace with it. With me, I never feuded with anyone, and nothing ever ended badly, so it just naturally happened."

Port recently made an appearance in the CW Seed's animated series "Gallery Mallory."
