Fast 8 Set Divas? The Rock vs. Vin Diesel in Fast & Furious 8

The two are said to have met Tuesday to clear the air.

Sources say that the feud between Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Vin Diesel is real. In fact, it has been going on for some time. They further confirm that the two met Tuesday noon because the tensions on the Fast 8 set were so high that filming is almost impossible. As of now however, it is not known if their issues have been resolved.

The Rock Rant

The public was first given a hint of the feud after The Rock's rather lengthy Instagram rant calling out some unprofessional male co-stars on Monday night. He claimed that these co-stars were not stand-up guys and were too scared to confront him. Later on it turned out that the rant was targeted at Vin Diesel.

The two stars are said to be butting heads in part because Vin Diesel is a producer of the movie and has been making production decisions that did not sit well with the former wrestling champ Johnson.

Other sources however say that Diesel was the first to get frustrated over The Rock's on set behavior because he keeps showing up late for the production. There were times that Johnson caused delays in filming the movie because he didn't show up. It was also reported that because of his rant, almost the entire cast is already angry at The Rock for causing the unwanted stir less than two weeks before filming ends.

Vin Diesel is not being spared from accusations of having a diva behavior either. Rumors of this go back to when Fast 7 was being filmed. A source said that Vin spent a whole day in his trailer once and then let the others wait for four hours in another instance.

Another unnamed source said that Diesel was constantly late and was known to have held up production when he worked with the actor. The source added that he was not surprised when The Rock called him out this time.

Praises for Everybody Except for Some Male Co-Stars

It was not pure rant that Johnson did on his Instagram post however. He praised the Fast 8 movie, its hardworking crew, Universal Studios and his female co-stars who he called amazing. According to him, his male co-stars are a different story because others simply do not conduct themselves as stand up men and true professionals.

Are you Team The Rock or Team Vin Diesel? Either way, everyone is hoping that the two superstars will be able to set aside whatever differences they might have so that there will no longer be production hitches for Fast 8.
