Wiccans Get Tricked and Christians Get Treats

My wife, Tammy, and I have been married for 21 years. When she was a teenager, she was hanging out with some friends one day who were messing around with a Ouija board. The letters began moving without any of the teenagers touching the board. The board spelled out the letters, "K I L L T A M M Y." If you are a Wiccan, you know all about this type of magical power. I sure am thankful that none of those teenagers followed the direction of those spirits that day. Those spirits were trying to entice the teenagers to go deeper into the dark world of the occult.

Halloween is a high holy day for Wiccans. They celebrate a festival of darkness in which they attempt to communicate with the dead. They call upon the "deities" to help them. They believe that the "goddess and god" can help them change their lives. They have direct connections to their deities through their magic.

A former Wiccan who became a Christian said, "One month before I was due to be dedicated into Wicca as a neopagan, a Christian friend gave me a book called 'Witchcraft to Christ.' It is a very powerful testimony of a woman who was Queen of black witches but by the grace of God she became a Christian." Another former Wiccan who is now a Christian wrote, "I didn't know that real Christianity was experiential and that true Christians have a deeply personal relationship with God."

There is no better way to treat yourself than to invite Jesus into your life. Wiccans refer to a supreme divine power as "The All." Guess what? Jesus will become your "All in All" if you receive Him by faith. Why not treat yourself to a living relationship with your Creator? Magic will keep your soul in a dark place. Jesus is the Light that you need today and forever! (John 8:12)

Just imagine what would happen if some Wiccans decided to play a trick on the spirits this Halloween. They could pray this prayer to receive an incredible treat: "Lord Jesus, forgive me for my sin of witchcraft. Set me free from any spiritual chains I have brought on myself through the worship of false deities. Fill me with your Holy Spirit." If you are a Wiccan, you don't know this kind of spiritual power until you go through THIS door. What a treat that prayer will bring to any Wiccan who repents of the sin of witchcraft (1 Samuel 15:23) and turns in faith to the Lord! (Acts 2:21)

There is an experience with Jesus that will change your life if you allow yourself to get close to Him. God's Word says, "Come near to God and He will come near to you." (James 4:8) Your rituals have brought you close to your deities, but faith in Jesus Christ will bring you into a whole new dimension altogether. Rather than trying to contact the dead this Halloween, you would be wise to contact the One who was dead but who rose from the grave. He is a lot closer to you right now than you may think. His cross defeated your deities 2000 years ago. Their eternal defeat is a done deal.

You don't need magic to get near to God. In fact, that type of power will keep you away from Jesus. You need to be filled with the Holy Spirit to experience God's power. Like Jesus, He too is God along with the Father. His power is a million times greater than any "deity" that shows up when you perform your magic. Jesus actually created those spirits you call deities. They were originally created to be good and holy angels, but they were tricked by their master who is the leader of the fallen angels. Even though you don't consciously call upon Satan, his demons are nevertheless present any time a Wiccan goes through a spiritual door by using magic.

If you are a Wiccan, those deities you encounter are actings as "angels of light." They appear harmless to you now. That is just the way they want it to appear. They want you to think that you are controlling them, when in fact, they are controlling you. One day something will happen and you will be scared by their activity. On that day, or hopefully before, you can call on Jesus Christ to deliver you and save you. He does not come to frighten you but to give you His peace and forgiveness. You will never find better treats anywhere.

A former Wiccan said, "I wanted to have power over the things that scared me. I thought that Wicca would give me that. After practicing magic for over 20 years, I never encountered any power like the power I've encountered since I have been a Christian."

If you are a Wiccan and you really want to trick the spirits this Halloween, try giving them a taste of their own medicine. You have been successful at drawing them into your presence through your rituals, spells, and magic. Now go ahead and experience what it is like to drive them from your presence by calling upon the name of Jesus Christ. Until you demonstrate that you can get rid of them as quickly as you conjured them up, you are the only one getting tricked by your religious rituals. Wicca or Jesus. Trick or Treat. Whose door will you go to this Halloween?
