Will and Jada Smith Deny Divorce Rumors: 'Our Marriage is Intact'

Will Smith and wife Jada Pinkett Smith have personally denied rumors that their marriage of 13 years is over.

“Although we are reluctant to respond to these types of press reports, the rumors circulating about our relationship are completely false. We are still together, and our marriage is intact,” said the star couple in a joint statement on Tuesday.

The couple married in 1997, and has been named one of few shining examples of relationships to have come out of Hollywood.

Rumors of the split were hard to believe, with Will Smith telling MTV in 2006, “Divorce can’t be an option. With Jada, I stood up in front of God and said, ‘Til death do us part.’ So there are two possible outcomes. One, we are going to be together till death, or two, I am dead.”

The Smiths, long viewed as the quintessential couple by fans, have never indicated publicly that there was trouble in their marriage.

The couple share two children together, Jaden, 13, and Willow, 10, in addition to Will’s 18-year-old son Trey from his first marriage.

“Will and Jada getting a DIVORCE … NOT TRUE AT ALL!! RETWEET,” Trey Smith posted on his official Twitter account Tuesday.

Publication In Touch Weekly reported that an “insider” told them of the couple’s separation, but neither star’s publicists have responded to messages for confirmation.

Will’s rep Meredith O’Sullivan has yet to comment, as is Jada Pinkett Smith’s rep, Karynne Tencer.

RadarOnline indicated that a family member said news of the split was false.

“They’re happy and married still,” said the unidentified insider.

RadarOnline also reported that a second source denied the break up. The insider works closely with Will Smith at his production company, Overbrook Entertainment, and said, “The rumors are not true. Not sure who the source was but they are wrong. All is good in their relationship.”

Us Weekly released a report from yet another insider, who said the rumor of Will and Jada splitting was “100 percent not true… It’s totally bull****.”
