Murray versus Federer finals looms at Wimbeldon 2016 draws nearer to a close
The men's tournament for Wimbledon 2016 looks like it might come down to two players, Andy Murray and Roger Federer. While both players are former champions, Federer has had more experience winning the tournament than Murray. The Swiss has won the tournament seven times and has been a finalist three times.
Murray on the other hand won the tournament back in 2013, being the first British player to win since 1936. Murray has also been a semi-finalist four separate times and a finalist once.

One paper it seems that Federer is the odds on pick to win this year's Wimbledon. Federer has had stiff competition made easier with the early exit of world number one Novak Djokovic in the third round and the number four seed Stan Wawrinka in the second.
However it seems that the only thing that is holding the former world number one is time. Federer is now 34 and his legs might not be the same after a grueling five set match against Marin Ciliic in the quarterfinals. Federer was actually two sets down against Cilic before turning the match around.
It will be interesting to see in what condition Federer's knees and back will be in during the semi-finals.
Federer also has the higher seeded opponent in the semi-finals as he is set to face the number six seed Milos Raonic.
Andy Murray
Murray is always a fan favorite in Wimbledon considering he is the top ranked British player in the ATP. Murray's deliberate baseline play is very well suited for the Wimbledon grass courts.
However, Murray is coming off a tough win as well as it took five sets to defeat the number twelve seed Jo-Wilfred Tsonga. The match seemed to be well in hand for Murray after winning the first two sets in impressive fashion, but Tsonga fired back in sets three and four but eventually lost steam in the fifth and deciding set.
Murray will be facing off against the number ten seed Tomas Berdych. While Berdych has a lower seed than Federer's opponent Milos Raonic, Berdych is a former runner up in Wimbledon back in 2010.
Both Murray and Federer have been able to dodge some tough opponents and find themselves in prime position to win Wimbledon, both semi-final matches are set for June 8.
