But before that happens, another alleged pre-release Windows 10 build has been leaked out into the Web, revealing a number of new features which include a Cortana integration and a new Xbox app.

According to Technobuffalo.com, the OS build number 9901 is a consumer preview of Windows 10.

While it has already been reported that AI assistant Cortana will come along with the new OS, the leaked video demonstration showed further how exactly it will work.

"The digital assistant will be integrated into Windows' existing search function, and it will respond to both voice and text commands. Cortana for Windows 10 is essentially the same as the Windows Phone version, working with things like your calendar, notebooks, and reminders — so you'll be able to use it schedule appointments, add new notes, and find snippets of information on the fly," Techno Buffalo explained.

The Verge, meanwhile noted, that this is still a "very early look" at the assistant software suggesting that things could still change before the OS hits the shelves next year.

Another exciting leaked information that would likely whet the appetite of gamers, is the new Xbox app in Windows 10.

The Verge indicated that the spotted Xbox app is basically a "gateway to the entire Xbox ecosystem."

This ecosystem mentioned includes "access to achievements, friends lists, activity feeds, and the Store."

The publication also pointed out that the ones seen is still an "early preview" of the app and that it may include "SmartGlass integration" later on.

The alleged Windows 10 UI leak also revealed other changes that are to be expected. This includes the redesigned calculator app, new TaskView switcher animation, changes on the Charms Bar, as well as the removal of the traditional Control Panel.

Microsoft is slated to officially present these changes on the next Windows 10 consumer press-con on January.
