World Golf Championships-Dell Match Play Schedule For Thursday (Mar. 24) And Friday (Mar. 25)
Golfers all over the world are now turning their attention on the World Golf Championships-Dell Match Play. The highly anticipated annual match play knockout event is usually held in February of every year but since 2015, it has moved to the first weekend in May. This year, however, the event takes place at the last week of March.
Established in 1999, the WGC Match Play is one of the four World Golf Championships sanctioned by the International Federation of PGA Tours. The other three includes the Cadillac Championship at Doral, the Bridgestone Invitational at Firestone Country Club, and the HSBC Champions at Sheshan Golf Club.
According to GoldDigest.com, the WGC Match Play is the only PGA Tour contest that uses a match play scoring system. The game will now be held at the Austin Country Club for the next four years. The players who got the most trophies are Tiger Woods (who nabbed three victories) and Geoff Ogilvy (who got two titles).

The current defending champion is Rory McIlroy. Some of the names he is about to face includes Jason Day, who is fresh from his win at the Arnold Palmer Invitational. Jordan Spieth is also hot on his trail after failing to join the top 15 last year.
