'World of the Warships' Anime DLC: Two Premium 'High School Fleet' Ships

New details about the anime-themed downloadable content (DLC) coming to "World of the Warships" have been revealed by Wargaming.

The studio will bring "High School Fleet" to the naval action-themed massively multiplayer online game in the form of two premium ships.

The DLC will introduce to "World of the Warships" the HSF Harekaze and the HSF Graf Spee, a destroyer and a cruiser, respectively. Wargaming provided a bit more details about these additions on the official website of the game.

"These charming Premium warships were carefully modeled to replicate the ships seen in the series and come with special Commander voices for the Captain and Executive Officer from the actual voice cast," they wrote.

The "World of the Warships" DLC will feature the voice actors behind the "High School Fleet" including the ones for protagonist Akeno Misaki (Shiina Natsukawa) and her childhood friend Moeka China (Sora Amamiya).

According to GameSpot, Wargaming showcased in a recent event in Taipei footage featuring the two characters, but the voice recordings have not been added yet.

The "World of the Warships" DLC will be released alongside the launch of "High School Fleet" on Blu-ray. When that will happen remains to be seen.

"High School Fleet" follows Akeno's journey to becoming one of the respected Blue Mermaids. Her first step in becoming that is enrolling at a marine high school for girls in Yokosuka.

Harekaze, one of the ships included in the "World of the Warships" DLC, is where they practice the craft. It is also there that Akeno and her classmates are accused of mutiny by an instructor. It is up to them to sail to safety and clear their reputation.

As for the Graf Spee, it was first featured in the second episode of "High School Fleet" as a cruiser in pursuit of the Harekaze. Wilhelmina Braunschweig Ingenohl Friedeburg was the captain of this ship.
