WrestleMania resulted in Triple H receiving burns this weekend, according to reports.

The popular wrestler is said to have suffered some bad burns as he made his way to the ring while making his dramatic entrance at WrestleMania at the MetLife Stadium over the weekend.

As he walked towards the ring Triple H was hit with some white fog, which has now been identified as dry ice, and it is believed that it is this dry ice that is the culprit for his injuries.

It is reported that some of the dry ice stuck to the wrestler's skin, causing him second degree burns.

The tough guy, despite the burns, just continued on and made his way to the ring. Throughout his time int he spotlight many fans had wondered what was stuck to Triple H's skin, as they could see the white material on him. It now appears as though that was the dry ice, and all the time it was giving him increasingly worse burns.

In the days following WrestleMania Triple H took to his Twitter account to explain to fans that he had suffered second degree burns on the night. he described that he had the burns over his arms and torso - the main areas where his bare skin was exposed to the cloud of dry ice.

Triple H wrote on his Twitter: "For those wondering… Stuff stuck to me at mania was dry ice. Gave me 2nd degree burns on torso & arms"

The incident adds to what was an eventful weekend for the WWE.

Over the weekend Donald Trump was also booed off stage as he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame at Madison Square Garden.

The WWE fans were in no mood to give Trump a warm welcome and as soon as his name was mentioned during Vince McMahon's introduction the boos started ringing out around the arena.

However, the climax of the hostile reception came when Trump attempted to start his speech; the moment his voice was heard over the loudspeakers the boos raised up to another level.

Trump continued with his speech nonetheless, and explained that even though he had received many awards in his lifetime, being added to the WWE Hall of Fame was one of the best feelings he had experienced.

The "Celebrity Apprentice" star was obviously attempting to connect with the fans, but his efforts were in vain, and he was forced to cut down his prepared speech.

He quickly moved on to introduce his son, who was also abruptly booed, as well as his daughter Ivanka, who oddly received cheers.
