WWE News and Updates 2016: Cesaro Leaving WWE? Superstar's Contract Ends in a Month

For the most part, Vince McMahon had been terrific in creating a franchise that has captivated people for years. WWE is still one of the top-selling and top-viewed brand today, and is currently teeming with rising talent to fuel its "New Era".

However, the patriarch of sports entertainment has a knack for following a blueprint of what makes a wrestler. He sees instant potential in muscular big guys who can strike fear into the hearts of opponents. Brock Lesnar, The Rock, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin and John Cena certainly fit that bill.

More recently, Vinny had been obsessed with pushing Roman Reigns to stardom. "The Guy" had been getting all the important opportunities, even a possible insertion to the WWE Universal Title match at "Clash of the Champions". The problem for fans is it obscures some of the best talents in the roster, including the Swiss sensation, Cesaro.

Underrated

The past few weeks had been rough for one of the strongest wrestlers in the WWE. Cesaro had been sidelined by injury in the middle of a Best-of-7 feud with Sheamus.

The catch? The Celtic Warrior dominated the matchup so far at 3-1. There had been triumphant 3-1 comebacks in sports, but this is the WWE; this is where the big guys rule. Rumors are flying around that Sheamus was booked to win the series in order to be established as a dominant force in the ring.

That, or Cesaro could win via four straight wins in a babyface comeback. The man deserves it—he is one of the best technicians in the roster and he had been advertised as a guy with tremendous strength. As a plus, he already has a huge following, calling themselves the "Cesaro Section."

Cesaro leaving?

Bad news for his fans: Cesaro is rumored to be leaving WWE after the Best-of-7 series. The problem may lie on his alleged dissatisfaction with how he was being handled by the company, becoming more of a midcard attraction than a main-eventer. The 35-year-old's contract is also reportedly ending in 30-45 days and there is no news if Cesaro is willing to re-sign.

Vince McMahon, as with many others, has been the reason why Cesaro suffers on the losing end of Sheamus' brute run. The big boss said the man still lacks something to land the main event and it may be attributed to his lackluster microphone skills.

Reigns, McMahon's top guy, also has a bad history with the mic, but he gets in all the great feuds and title runs. Should Vince rethink his market strategy? Cesaro could be a good start to that.
